Claire Russell Verre Églomisé

Claires main and long established profession as a bespoke picture framer and gilder has engendered a loyal and extensive customer base of amateur and professional artists. This has brought her into daily contact with a visually exciting and inspiring melting pot of diverse art and craft forms.

Using the materials she already has In her picture framing studio, particularly glass, gold leaf and gold size, she has been able to explore ways of expressing form through the ancient art of Verre Églomisé, reviving the forgotten craft.

Her work is always on display in her studio and various art society exhibitions throughout the year in the UK and USA.
